     TRADE NOTICE NO. 8/C.EX./M-III/2009 DATED  28.08.2009

 

 

Sub: Authorisation of Oriental Bank of Commerce for collection of  

Central Excise duties and Service tax through e-payment for all Central Excise, Service Tax and LTU Commissionerate – Issue of Trade Notice regarding –reg.

                                                            ----------------

            Attention of the Trade and Industry is invited on the above mentioned subject.

2.       In this regard, Reserve Bank of India vide letter No. DGBA. GAD No. H-785/41.07.004/2009-10 dt. 21.07.2009 has authorized Oriental Bank of Commerce for collection of Central Excise duties and Service Tax through e-payment for all Central Excise, Service Tax & LTU Commissionerates without the restriction of Commissionerate-wise authorization with effect from 1st August 2009.

3.       The Mylapore Branch (BSR Code No. 0361086), No. 63, Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore, Chennai – 600 004 of Oriental Bank of Commerce will act as the Receiving and Focal Point Branch for collection of e-Receipts of Central Excise duties in respect of all Commissionrates.

 

4.       The Chembur Branch (BSR Code No. 0360918), Khushali, Plot No. 358, Central Avenue Road, Near Diamond Garden, Chembur, Mumbai – 400 071 of Oriental Bank of Commerce will act as the Receiving and Focal Point Branch for collection of e-Receipts of Service Tax in respect of all Commissionerates.

 

5.       The assessees of Central Excise Mumbai – III Commissionerate may avail the aforesaid facility of the said authorization for e-payment of Central Excise Duties / Service Tax.

 

6.       All Trade Associations / Chambers of Commerce and Members of RAC are requested to bring the contents of this Trade Notice to their manufacturer members in particular and trade in general.
