Sub : Extension of Banking hours for deposit of Central Excise Duties on 31.03.2005 of 

         Central Excise Mumbai III Commissionerate – reg.

 Attention of the Trade is invited to Rule 8 (1) of C. E.R., 2002 wherein for the goods removed during the month of March the duty shall be paid by 31^st March itself. All the thirteen nominated banks have been requested by this office to keep their authoriesd  branches open till the mid night on 31.03.2005 so as to enable the assessees to deposit cash / cheque along with TR-6 Challan towards the Central Excise Duties payment by 31.03.2005.

           All Trade Associations are requested to bring the contents of their Trade Notice to the notice of their member manufacturers in particular and trade in general.
