Subject:- Notification No. 26/2005-CE (NT) dated 16.05.2005 introduction of
new formats of Monthly Return (Form ER-1) and Quarterly Return
(Form ER-3) for the purposes of Rule 12 of Central Excise Rules, 2002
and sub-rule (7) of Rule 9 of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004.
It is for the information of the Trade that Notification No. 26/2005-Central Excise(NT) dt. 16.05.2005 (copy enclosed) has been issued in supersession of Notification No. 25/2004-CE (NT) dated 27.09.2004 specifying new formats of Monthly Return (Form ER-1) and Quarterly Return (Form ER-3) for the purposes of Rule 12 of Central Excise Rules, 2002 and sub-rule (7) of Rule 9 of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004.
2. The earlier Trade Notice No. 16/Gen(14)C.Ex./M-III/ 2004 dated 19.10.2004 issued by this Commissionerate circulating Notification No. 25/2004-Central Excise(NT) dated 27.09.2004 may be treated as modified to the above extent.

All trade associations are requested to bring the contents of this Trade Notice
to the notice of their member manufacturers in particular and the trade in
general.
