Committee of Organised & SSI Sector of Mumbai-III Commissionerate

for Central Excise for the Block Year 2009-2010

It is brought to the notice of the Trade and Industry that the Regional Advisory Committee, Public Grievance Committee for Organised and SSI Sector of Central Excise Mumbai-III Commissionerate has been constituted for the block years 2009-2010. This committee will function upto 31.12.2010.

3. Only nominated members of the Committee can attend the RAC Meeting. However, a nominated member, in unavoidable circumstances may depute another member of the concerned Association to attend the Committee’s Meeting, with advance intimation to the Chairman/Secretary of the Committee. Any member, who is absent from three consecutive meetings without adequate reason, will be deemed to have withdrawn from the Committee and his place will be filled up by a fresh nominee. Appointment of alternate members from any association will be entertained only once a year.

4. The functions of the Regional Advisory Committee are purely advisory. The Committee is intended for resolving the procedural difficulties of general nature.

5. The Committee will meet once in three months on such dates as the Chairman of the Committee may decide. The manufacturers and exporters of excisable commodities are advised to place their problems/difficulties of general nature, if any, before the Committee through any of the above members of the Committee. All correspondence meant for the Regional Advisory Committee for Organised Sector & Small Scale Sector may be addressed to the Secretary on the following address:-

6. All the members are requested to forward the points proposed by them, in writing, for discussion, at least 15 days before the date of the meeting, so that those points could be included in the agenda which can be circulated to all the members to enable them to participate in a purposeful manner during the discussion in the meeting. Any points received after the stipulated time limit will not be entertained.

7. The success of the Committee depends upon the wholehearted actual participation of the members in its proceedings. It is, therefore, requested that the Trade Associations / Chambers of Commerce whose representative has been nominated on the Committee should ensure that their nominees invariably attend the meeting as and when scheduled and represent the problems concerning their trade interest for solution. Any change in office / residence telephone numbers and addresses of the nominated members may please be immediately intimated to this office.

8. The Committee meeting will normally be held at the Headquarters Office of Mumbai-III Commissionerate at Vardaan Trade Centre, 4^th Floor, MIDC, Wagle Industrial Estate, Thane (W) - 400 604.

9. All the Trade Associations are requested to bring the contents of this trade notice to the notice of their members in particular and the trade in general.
