It is for the information of the trade that Controller General of Accounts has approved operation of new minor head “504 – Education Cess” under the major Head 0037-Customs, 0038 – Union Excise duties/03 Non-shareable Duties and 0044- Service Tax, provisionally.

            The Numeric Codes, Eight Digit Serial Codes and SCCD Codes for the new Heads of Accounts on account of “Education Cess” are as given below :
